Waxing the City - Scottsdale is seeking a dedicated, upbeat and motivated individual, with a passion for leadership, employee development and long term growth. Waxing the City is an emerging brand with the goal of becoming the premiere waxing studio of choice in Arizona and nationwide!
JOB SUMMARY:
The Studio Manager works closely with the General Manager and is accountable for front desk operations including staff scheduling and Point of Sale systems, goal setting and tracking, inventory control, digital and social media development, client relations and satisfaction, Studio Coordinator training, hiring/recruiting within home studio, and general day to day operations in the areas of culture/team development and increased revenue/profitability of the business.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Interviewing new Cerologists and Studio Coordinators. Always be recruiting to avoid understaffing and account for occasional employee turnover.
Responsible for scheduling and approval of time off requests, to ensure shifts are covered.
Accountable for inventory management operations including: conduct weekly analysis to maintain ideal stock levels and forecast potential inventory issues, adhere to inventory control procedures and best practices, place monthly purchase orders for retail and consumables.
Accountable for studio growth; goal setting; revenue tracking. Managers must coach and motivate the team using best practices, ongoing quality control, friendly competition and direct correlation to compensation. You will become fluent in using the KPI and various other reports found on Zenoti software. Other tools to assist in revenue growth/goal setting/tracking include: Journey sheets, Weekly 1 on 1's, & Team Huddles
Payroll Operations: Managers will audit time clocks every pay period and correct any errors. Managers will also learn to use our Payroll Software to submit hours and commission percentages.
Responsible for maintaining the Waxing The City - Phoenix Facebook page, including content creation, managing regular posts, and customer interactions.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:Coverage of shifts in short-notice/emergency situationsOverall studio cleanliness and appearanceCustomer contacts and rescheduling if needed
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:Daily Reporting: Cerologists and Studio CoordinatorsScope of Supervisory Responsibilities: Oversees employee hiring, training and ongoing development, employee scheduling, client satisfaction, inventory control, and social media marketing & community outreach.
SCOPE AND COMPLEXITY:The Manager reports directly to the GM and indirectly to all members of ownership and is accountable for all aspects of daily operations.
