Love the skincare and beauty industry and want to run your own business? If you’ve ever looked into the sector, you know that medi-aesthetics ventures rarely come cheap, but that’s not entirely true for Australian Skin Clinics.
For more than 20 years, the Australian franchise chain has built a reputation as one of the nation’s leading laser hair removal, cosmetic injectable and skin care service providers. However, it’s Australian Skin Clinics’ multi-channel franchise format that is delivering real results for franchisees.
The medi-aesthetics operation offers two business models for aspiring entrepreneurs, each with a different take on the finance format.
On one hand, partners can choose to fully fund their Australian Skin Clinics franchise venture with the brand’s 100 per cent ownership model. In this system, franchisees hold complete ownership of their business and clinic, providing them with full financial freedom.
However, tightening bank lending conditions has made access to meaningful capital harder to come by, meaning some Australians need a helping hand to fund their futures. It’s precisely why Australian Skin Clinics introduced its popular joint venture model last year.
The Australian Skin Clinics joint venture model
The skin, laser and injectables business has implemented a 50/50 even split concept, allowing more Aussies to get into business for themselves.
Australian Skin Clinics franchise sales executive manager, Catia Melim said the company’s joint venture model sees franchisees offered a 50 per cent stake in a clinic, with the franchisor holding the remaining share.
“The pathway provides an opportunity for aspiring medi-aesthetic entrepreneurs to break into the sector with the backing, both financial and operational, of an experienced franchisor.”
“Franchisees are required to work full time in the business, with the capital investment and profits shared 50/50 between partners, however, the collaborative approach extends far beyond just the finance,” Melim said.
All major decisions relating to the operation and marketing of the clinic will be shared between partners, with franchisees encouraged to leverage the Australian Skin Clinics franchise team for advice and direction. Operational and marketing support isn’t the only compensation partners receive either.
Franchisees who sign up to Australian Skin Clinics under the joint venture model will also be paid a wage of up to $100,000, dependant on the size of the clinic, including super under the terms of their package. It’s all part of the brand’s extensive support structure and process, implemented to ensure franchisees can focus on building their business, rather than worrying about their personal wages.
With both models, Australian Skin Clinics will provide full training while the clinic is being built. With one-week operations, marketing and management training, two weeks of staff training and up to one week in injectable training, all franchisees can kick-start their new career with confidence.
