But while we're forever worrying about accidentally ripping a layer of skin off our legs whenever we reach for the strips, one woman has warned against the dangers of waxing after she accidentally GLUED her armpit together.

Kiera Stirton, from Glasgow, got a little bit carried away when preparing for her upcoming holidays.
Like a girl after our own hearts, Kiera decided to wax both her armpits and legs ahead of her trip - but was horrified when the wax solidified much sooner than she was expecting.
Tweeting a photo of her red waxy armpit (thankfully, not filled with blood as it might first appear), Kiera decided to warn her 5,000 followers of the perils of waxing.
As she is preparing to meet her boyfriend on holiday, Kiera wrote: "I thought I would surprise him and wax, forgot the wax was wet and now my f***ing armpit is glued together."
She added: "Let's just say, my bikini line is getting the good old trusty razor."
Although Kiera joked about going to A&E on Twitter, she confirmed that the wax left a small mark on her arm but she didn't need medical attention.
Unsurprisingly, Kiera's followers were horrified by the photos - with many asking whether she had accidentally ripped her armpit open.
One wrote: "Kiera I thought that was blood."
Unable to hide their horror, another added: "OH MY F***!"
