What is The Lip Flip?
The BOTOX® Lip Flip has moved in as the latest must have lip enhancement. The Lip Flip refers to flipping the edge of the lip using a neuromodulator, like BOTOX® or Dysport. Is BOTOX® in the Lips Right For You?
A BOTOX® Lip Flip can be performed alone to add a subtle, but beautiful, natural projection and pout to the upper lip, enhancing your Cupid’s Bow. The Lip Flip can also be used for the lower lip. Adding a little filler to the Lip Flip would be an ideal complement to filler like Restylane Kysse, Volbella or Revance RH2 or RH3 to provide additional fullness and projection. Many people are very pleased with a Lip Flip using neurotoxin like BOTOX®, Dysport, Xeomin, Jeaveau alone, without lip filler.
Should I Get Filler or a Lip Flip?
The Lip Flip can be wonderful for a person who would like to enhance their pout, but may not feel ready for lip filler. Another great candidate is the person who regularly uses lip filler. Someone who is pleased with the way their filler looks, but they’re not ready to get refilled. For this person, a BOTOX® Lip Flip can add a bit of projection and essentially enhance the look of lip filler.
How Long Does a Lip Flip Last?
Receiving Lip filler in Raleigh can last from a few months to as long as a year, depending on the product used, and the individual patient. A Lip Flip is very quick and affordable. A Lip Flip can be a way to make lip augmentation last longer.

Who is a Good Candidate for a Lip Flip?
The Lip Flip is a wonderful treatment, but it’s not for everyone. The expert BOTOX® nurse injectors at Blue Water Spa will discuss with you whether or not the Lip Flip is ideal for you.
You may NOT be a good candidate for the Lip Flip, if:
- The goal of a procedure is to have much fuller lips. The Lip Flip provides projection but not fullness.
- A Lip Flip works best in people with a well defined vermillion border.
- Occasionally people lose the ability to whistle or drink from a straw. Most people are fine with this, but people who are often on-camera might want to pass on the Lip Flip. Alternatively, they might elect to start very slowly, and increase the dose, working closely with a very experienced injector.
- Lip enhancement would be disproportionate to facial features. The entire per-oral area, and in fact, the whole face is taken into consideration. Some people are meant to have smaller lips to maintain the balance and proportion of the face. But, even smaller lips can be conservatively and beautifully enhanced. For others, fuller lips can balance the face beautifully. This can be restoring fullness for people who have lost fullness in the lips as they age, or people who have a facial structure that would complement a fuller and more pronounced pout. Lip enhancement it’s much more complex than just changing one area without studying the facial beauty, proportion and studying angles in the face of each individual. The lip flip can be a very rewarding procedure when it’s used appropriately.
