Infiniti Pro Hair Dryer by Conair Review & Giveaway

My teen daughter is really into trying out different hair styles. Its a teen thing. Some days she uses a flat iron to straighten her hair, other days she lets it dry naturally (wavy). Once in a while she’ll even use the Infiniti You Curl to give her hair more curls and spirals. I think every day she does something different with her hair. Not me. I tend to stick to ponytails.

I don’t do much with my hair on a daily basis. If I know I’m not going out for the day I’ll let my hair dry naturally (wavy & frizzy). If I know I am going out I’ll blow dry my hair to make it smoother.

I have a hair dryer that is about as basic as they come. It has two speeds – low and high. I honestly don’t know the different. They are pretty much the same if you ask me.

Recently I was asked if I would like to try out the Infiniti Pro Hair Dryer by Conair. Since we already own the Infiniti You Curl (which my daughter loves) I was more then happy to do the review.

The Infinit Pro Hair Dryer is just that – a hair dryer – but oh my! This literally blows the competition out of the water (no pun intended)!

The Infiniti Pro comes in a funky orange color. I actually liked this. Normally driers come in boring colors like black or off white. The orange really stands out in my basket of “hair arsenal” as my husband calls it.

One of the best features about this dryer is that is not only does it have two speeds (high and low) but it also have FOUR temperatures to choose from. You have a choice from cool, warm, hot AND you can give your hair a blast of COLD air! Unlike other dryers I have had in the past I can actually tell the difference between the temperatures.

Why would you need different temperatures you might ask? That is a good question. Personally I use the lighter (cooler) setting when I just want to get the dampness out of my hair. For example, if I let my hair dry naturally and I need to go out and its not dry enough I’ll run the dryer through my hair on the cool setting to get rid of the dampness. I also insist that my daughter uses the cool setting. I don’t want her using the hot because I don’t want her to damage her hair.

I used the warm setting to blow dry my hair like I normally would.

The hot setting is reserved for when I am styling my hair. If I really want to do up my hair then I’ll use the hot setting and one of my curling brushes. My curling brushes are metal so when they are hit with hot hair they heat up, similar to a hair curler, except the curl is larger because the brush is much bigger then the hair curler barrel. This is how I smooth out my hair and create big waves.

My most favorite feature on the Infiniti Pro Hair Dryer is the COLD setting. Yes, I said COLD! Have you ever come across a hair dryer that blows cold air? I can see myself using this in the heat of summer to cool off. Ha Ha. It really is COLD!

I use the cold setting to help set my hair. After I get my hair wrapped around my metal brush and blast it with some hot heat for a few seconds I then squeeze the trigger to put some cold air on it. The cold helps to “set” the curl. Then I wait a few seconds and gently release the brush from my hair and what I’m left with is a lovely curl/wave.

Another great feature is that you can remove the lint trap on the dryer. It is actually a safety hazard to let the link build up in the dryer. It also destroys your hair dryer. If the motor is going but it can’t get any incoming air its going to kill the motor.

In the past I have had to take a needle to scrap out the link from the trap. With the Infinit Pro the link trapper comes off so you can quickly and easily clean it off. This helps to extend the life of your dryer. You certainly don’t need Austin laser hair removal to get rid of the excess hair trapped in your dryer.

The Infiniti Pro Hair Dryer also comes with two attachments which help you to narrow down on the area you are drying which is helpful if you are styling your hair like I do.

According to the Infiniti Conair website the Infiniti Pro Hair Dryer is “…ergonomically designed for ultimate comfort. High performance for salon-quality results. A quiet, but powerful AC motor ensures fast drying time, which means less heat exposure for hair. Well-balanced and lightweight, this Infiniti Pro by Conair dryer delivers comfortably effortless styling and sensational results.”

I never thought I would get excited over a hair dryer. I don’t see this as JUST a hair dryer but more so a styling tool. Why break out a hair curler or straightner when I can do both with just the dryer and some brushes?

I love, love, love this hair dryer! I’m giving this a two thumbs up, 10+ and five gold stars.
