We wanted to create a place where women can not simply get a haircut, which is the case for 99% of hair salons in Sydney, but a place where they could be treated like royalty, feel free to unwind and be able to walk out feeling rejuvenated and looking beautiful,” Andrew added.

At Detail Woman we invest heavily in technical and customer service training for our hairdressers. We are constantly improving our processes and updating our equipment. That gives us a high level of confidence that when women claim their complimentary premium haircut, a good percentage will come back and become loyal customers.”
The approach is also supported by independent research. In their 2014 report titled “Beauty Environmental Scan“, the Retail & Personal Services Training Council (RAPS) observed:
“The Hairdressing and Beauty industries share similar challenges in establishing and running a personal services business. The majority of salons are small businesses which tend to compete heavily on price, even though many of the more successful businesses compete on the basis of consistent quality service and high client satisfaction and return rates.”
