To no one’s surprise, “Big Brother” legends Janelle Pierzina and Kaysar Ridha found themselves nominated for eviction at the end of Sunday’s episode. Head of Household Tyler Crispen wasn’t afraid of putting “Jaysar” up on the block, particularly after they made it clear they were coming after some of his “Commission” alliance members. Heading into the mid-week Veto episode, Janelle and Kaysar were hopeful they could save themselves, in which case Tyler has admitted he’d put up Da’Vonne Rogers as a replacement. So how did it all play out?

8:00 p.m. — “Previously on ‘Big Brother’!” In the eighth episode, the third and final Safety Suite competition of “BB22” commenced with Dani Briones, Enzo Palumbo, Memphis Garrett and Nicole Franzel all taking part. Enzo ended up winning the laser beam challenge, and he chose to make Christmas Abbott his plus-one for the week, much to Da’Vonne’s disappointment. What punishment will Christmas have to endure? And how will the Veto shake up the game, if at all? Let’s go!
8:10 p.m. — Following the nomination ceremony, Janelle calls Tyler’s move “weak” and refuses to go in a corner and cry like Nicole F. She won’t let anyone see her sweat. Meanwhile, Enzo, Cody Calafiore and Dani are chatting it up in the bedroom. They’re hoping to play in the Veto competition to stop Janelle or Kaysar from winning. Up in the HOH room, Da’Vonne tries to remind Tyler they’re working together. Everything Da’Vonne says makes Tyler suspicious so she might as well just stop talking to him. Next Da’Vonne heads downstairs to chat with Janelle and Kaysar, hoping to stay in their good graces as well.
8:15 p.m. — Bayleigh Dayton agrees to play if Janelle has the option to choose someone for the Veto competition. Janelle jokes that if Bayleigh doesn’t want to play, she’ll pick Nicole F. because she sucks. Bayleigh doesn’t make any promises to Janelle just yet, even though she likes her. Over in the bedroom, Nicole F. and Dani are talking about who they would want in the final four. Dani plants seeds of doubt in Nicole’s head about various players. Dani is playing this game for the third time and she’s prepared to stab anyone in the back. We get a fun Diary Room confession of Dani running her thoughts about everyone in the house. It sounds like she might actually enjoy going to the end with Nicole F. because Nicole doesn’t seem to do anything but cry this season. Could be an easy win for Dani?
8:20 p.m. — Ian Terry is rocking on the couch in the bathroom while Janelle gives herself a “vampire facial” and Kaysar showers. They compare beauty regimens and Ian admits to some laser hair removal on his chest and back. Janelle starts to worry there might be too much acid in her face mask and decides to take it off. Good talk!
8:23 p.m. — It’s time to choose players for the Veto competition! Joining Tyler, Janelle and Kaysar in the Veto competition are Cody (drawn by Tyler), Bayleigh (drawn by Kaysar) and Memphis (drawn by Janelle). Dani corners Bayleigh to ask what she’ll do if she wins the Veto. Bayleigh tells Dani she won’t change the noms just to get Dani off her back, but she hasn’t made up her mind yet. Meanwhile, Janelle and Kaysar aren’t feeling optimistic about the upcoming Veto competition but they won’t go down without a fight.
8:35 p.m. — It’s time for the Veto competition – “Cupcake Clash.” In this tournament-style challenge, houseguests will compete head to head in hopes of advancing to become the champion. Each round, players will have to move puzzle pieces around to complete a pink, yellow and blue cupcake. The competition unfolds as follows: Tyler defeats Kaysar, Cody defeats Bayleigh and Memphis defeats Janelle in round one. Tyler advanced directly to the championship because he had the fastest time. Cody defeats Memphis to take the second spot in the championship. In the final round Cody defeats Tyler to win the golden Power of Veto!
8:43 p.m. — Dani, Christmas and Nicole are convinced Memphis tried to throw the Veto competition and Dani doesn’t trust him at all. Upstairs, Janelle is trying to cheer up Kaysar. She says she should have said no to “All-Stars” so Kaysar had a chance. She thinks if he lays low, Kaysar could have a shot in this game if he lays low. He tells her it’s impossible for him to lay low. They know they were screwed as soon as they walked into the house together. With their backs against the wall, they decide to throw a hail Mary.
8:45 p.m. — Up in the HOH room Enzo, Cody and Tyler are talking about Memphis throwing the Veto. The funny thing about all this speculation is that Memphis was actually trying. Now they’re considering pulling down Kaysar or Janelle to backdoor Memphis.
8:53 p.m. — Christmas finally gets her plus-one punishment. She has to take care of little “star baby” all week, which includes changing diapers and consoling it when it cries. It’s a pretty needy star baby. It demands food and play time at all hours of the day and night. As the week progresses, a second and third star baby are added to the mix. Make that four, five or six! Okay nine. It’s getting out of control!
8:59 p.m. — Janelle makes a final pitch to Cody. She says it would be advantageous to his game if she stays. She’s a huge target that hasn’t won any competitions. If Cody uses the Veto on Janelle, she will vote with him for the next two weeks. She would love to take out the floaters. Cody considers the option, but ultimately decides not to use the Power of Veto. Kaysar or Janelle will be evicted Thursday. Probably Janelle. Bummer! That’s a wrap for tonight.
