Here’s a round-up of the latest Wellesley, Mass., business news:
Atelier salon readies for business at Belclare
Not that Wellesley has any shortage of salons, but there are also a lot of heads in town. A new salon called Atelier plans to open this fall at the Belclare led by hair stylist Meghan Andrade, a familiar face to those who go to Salon 23 West in Wellesley Square. This will be the first salon she has opened.
Atelier will be a full-service salon at 39 Grove St., offering hair treatments, ammonia-free color, cuts and smoothing services (Smoothing services are a thing? Yup, including a $450 Coppola Keratin treatment or a $150 express version).
The salon will also sell hair care products, and men, you can get a cut for $40.
The id.Salon in Wellesley Hills, by the way, recently closed its doors.

Babson officially opens Weissman Foundry to turn ideas into reality
Babson CollegeOlin College
We swung by for a tour last weekend (tours are given throughout the week…watch out for those hanging power outlets if you’re tall!), and while the student in charge that day was welcoming she didn’t have the magic keys to unlock the big yellow garage doors behind which sit the all the cool equipment. But we believe it’s there: The Weissman family has donated zillions of dollars to the school over the years, so they weren’t about to cheap out on this…
