Pros
- Offers PicoSure Laser treatment
- Board-certified physicians and state-of-the-art facility
- Good scope of services offered
Cons
- Relatively more expensive laser procedures
- Reports of scheduling mishaps and difficulty to reach via phone
- Closed on weekends
When it comes to anything dermatology- or cosmetic-related, Phoenix Skin Medical is one of your best bets.
Not only do they pride themselves on having an expert team of board-certified physicians, they also boast of using the latest industry techniques and procedures in their state-of-the-art facility.
When it comes to tattoo removal, they offer patients two options – PicoSure Laser and Revlite Laser. The former is faster and would require less number of sessions; while the latter is much more effective at removing red rink.
Even though the cost of PicoSure Laser is a bit more expensive, it does allow for a shorter time frame between sessions and fewer treatments. In the long run, we think it’s the more cost-effective solution (if you’re initially willing to shell out more).
We’d also like to point out that Phoenix Skin is the one of the few practices in Arizona with the PicoSure Laser option, so we give them major props for that.
Different tattoos would require different removal techniques. Phoenix Skin recommends a tailor-fit combination of both to yield better results.
We also appreciate that they don’t charge customers additional costs for numbing during a removal session. They don’t have hidden charges and office visit minimums, too.
The only downside is that we did hear some reports of scheduling conflicts and sudden appointment cancellations. Apparently, they’re not as easy to reach and some customers need to call multiple times.
Those issues aside, we still think they’re worth paying a visit if you plan on getting your tattoos removed. Just make sure to confirm your appointment at least a day before.

Pros
- Relatively affordable rates
- Employs certified medical laser technicians
- Open daily
Cons
- Utilizes just one laser method of tattoo removal
- Appointment-booking system needs improvement
As far as laser experts go, the team at Laguna Laser Hair & Tattoo Removal are more than capable and qualified.
They are certified medical laser technicians who have completed extensive laser training courses approved by the Arizona Regulatory Agency in compliance with Arizona State Law.
They’re also under the clinical supervision of Dr. Dan Quan, M.D., who has been practicing medicine in the valley for over 15 years. We hear that he’s quite hands-on and incredibly friendly to his patients.
As for their treatment design, they use high-intensity laser beams to remove the tattoos. According to them, there’s no downtime, it’s low-risk, and is highly-effective with minimal side effects.
Completely removing a tattoo will vary based on different factors such as size, shape, color, and the individual’s skin type. It follows that the price will vary for everyone, as well.
We appreciate, though, that they have relatively affordable prices for their services. They also offer a military discount which we think is nice.
The clinic itself is small, but it’s newly-renovated and rustic yet modern. Their customers seem to appreciate this because it has a warm and inviting vibe.
It seems that this reflects on their staff, too, as we’ve heard that they’re friendly and very attentive to the patient’s needs and pain levels.
Unfortunately, we also did hear that their system has flaws in scheduling appointments – some get lost, some don’t get booked at all. We really hope they take measures to address this soon.

Pros
- Specializes in tattoo removal and PicoSure Laser
- Friendly and attentive staff
- Price estimates helpfully displayed on website
Cons
- Relatively more expensive
- Closed on weekends
Phoenix Tattoo Removal is a pretty straightforward facility that offers a good scope of services, but specializes in tattoo removal.
It’s owned by Dr. Andrew Racette who is a board-certified osteopathic dermatologist. What his patients love about him is his kind demeanor and comprehensive treatment approach.
They’re also one of the few facilities in Arizona to use PicoSure Laser. It treats full spectrums of colored inks (including blue and green ones which are typically the most difficult to remove) without permanently damaging the skin.
He’s quite hands-on with the business and we hear that he truly gets to know each patient. This builds a foundation of trust – which customers always appreciate.
His staff receive the same compliment from their cliente. It seems that their team is a friendly bunch who are all very polite and courteous to their customers.
Such is the case for Judi and Angie who are often given commendations for their professionalism and efficiency. Apparently, they listen to every patient’s pain concern and ease the process as much as they can.
It’s also been said that they give accurate estimates on how many sessions will be needed. Pricing is upfront, too, and estimates are helpfully displayed on their website.
They are relatively more expensive compared to other similar facilities, but we still think they’re a solid choice considering the quality of service they provide customers.

Pros
- Specializes in The Delete Method, a treatment unique to them
- With over a decade of experience
- Flexible payment and financing options
Cons
- Reports of some staff members needing better customer service training
- Bookings get filled up easily
Since 2010, Delete Tattoo Removal and Medical Salon has been helping their customers get a clean slate – at least, tattoo-wise.
With over a decade in the business, you can expect a certain level of expertise and efficiency. They have a dedicated team of physicians and trained laser technicians who are all skilled to provide you with the best possible service.
The salon guarantees superior tattoo removal results with their The Delete Method (patent pending), which is a treatment course unique to them.
They believe that when it comes to removing tattoos, the best approach is to treat the skin from the inside out.
They do this by utilizing PicoWay Laser Tattoo Removal treatments and a series of skin restoration therapies in order to treat scars, tissues, hyperpigmentation, and encourage collagen production.
PicoWay is a dual laser that pulsates with higher levels of comfort. It can delete intricate tattoo inks on a variety of skin tones and pigments.
What we like about their salon is they offer fixed price packages based on just tattoo size and design. For those on a tight budget, they also offer several payment plans and financing options.
We think it’s incredibly considerate of them to have these, as tattoos (and deciding to get rid of them) are very personal matters and some customers simply can’t easily afford the treatments.
We’d like to point out, though, that we did hear some of their members need to be better trained when it comes to speaking with customers. Bookings get filled up easily, too, so just make sure to call ahead for the appointment you’d like to schedule.

Pros
- Locally owned and operated medical spa with a warm, inviting vibe
- Uses Quanta Q-Plus C laser technology
- Affordable rates and payment plans readily-available on their website
Cons
- Reports of sudden cancellations in appointments
- Relatively slow to get back to email inquiries
Lighten Up Laser is a locally-owned and -operated facility that offers both spa and laser treatments in a relaxed atmosphere.
They have a team of expertly-trained technicians and from what we’ve heard, they’re great at what they do. It seems that customers love them, too, for being so welcoming and friendly to anyone walking into their office.
The owner, Hettie Rich, specializes in laser technology and microneedling. Apparently, she’s often present and very professional with her clients.
When it comes to tattoo removal, their laser technicians use Quanta Q-Plus C, which removes tattoos quicker than other Q-switched lasers. It can treat most colors of the tattoo spectrum in a safe and effective manner.
They firmly advertise themseelves as a medical spa, not a doctor’s clinic. They do, however, work closely with their medical director to make sure that their clients’ are getting the best care possible.
We think it’s great how they go the extra mile for their customers. It gives a great sense of ease to know that you’re in good hands.
What’s more helpful is their affordable rates that are all readily-available on their website. They’re pretty affordable, too, compared to other similar companies.
We did hear some reports that appointments get canceled suddenly, some just 3 hours prior. They may have their reasons, but we think it’s polite to give notice at least two days before.

We like that their saline tattoo removal incurs minimal scarring, and minimal risk of infection.
It also works naturally and just leaves a mild sting that disappears very quickly.
Their tattoo removal is also effective on every type of skin stains and colours.
What we like about this place is that they take the time to explain the procedure and the entire process so you’re well informed.
We think they’re true experts at what they do and we highly recommend.
