"Is Nood Effective? Unveiling the Results of Nood Hair Removal!"

Hello everyone! I’m Kathy Santhouse, and I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to discuss hair removal with you. As many of you may already know, my focus lies in fashion, beauty, and lifestyle topics. If you have an interest in these areas, I promise to keep you engaged and entertained!

Today, I’m excited to share my thoughts on the Flasher 2.0 device from Nood, which I’ve been using for the past eight weeks. After unboxing this product two months ago, I examined all the claims made by Nood regarding its effectiveness. Now, I’m here to provide you with my firsthand results, assess the authenticity of Nood’s claims, and share my overall impressions of this hair removal device.

So, without further ado, let’s dive into the details!

How Long Does It Take to Use?

Claim

According to the official Nood website, the recommended usage of the Flasher 2.0 is twice a week, using intensity levels of 6 or 7 as part of the treatment protocol. It’s worth mentioning that level 7 represents the highest intensity available. Typically, laser hair removal devices suggest starting at the lowest setting and gradually increasing the intensity.

When I first used the device, I began at level 1 to evaluate its suitability for my skin and to minimize any risk of side effects, such as redness or burning. Surprisingly, I felt no discomfort at level 1 and promptly escalated to level 7.

While the treatment plan recommends usage twice per week, I opted for a schedule of once every three days to maintain consistency and see results more quickly.

Additionally, the device includes a small honesty tracker card, which advises that each area of the body should receive three flashes while using intensity level 6 or above. The average treatment time, as stated on the website, is about 10 minutes.

Reality

In practice, the device comes with a card that specifies the treatment times for different body areas individually. I found these times to be more accurate than what is stated on the Nood website. However, the given times are only for a single flash over an area.

Factoring in the requirement to flash each area three times, the actual treatment duration becomes three times or more compared to Nood’s claims. For instance, when I used the Flasher 2.0 on my legs below the knee, it took me approximately 30 minutes. This was only for one leg and part of another. When I moved on to my face, armpits, and bikini line, the total treatment time exceeded an hour.

Thus, Nood appears to set unrealistic expectations regarding treatment durations. Providing accurate timeframes for session lengths would be more beneficial for consumers. In reality, achieving full-body treatment with this device takes considerably longer than what Nood suggests.

Is It Painless?

Claim

On Nood’s website, they assert that the Flasher 2.0 is nearly painless and highly effective. While some level of painlessness might be achievable at the lowest setting, this would likely yield no results. In contrast, effectiveness — which can only be attained at levels 6 or 7 — may be accompanied by discomfort.

Reality

My experience with the pain factor associated with the Nood device was somewhat mixed. While I can agree that it is nearly painless, this is only partially true. The instructions recommend holding the Flasher 2.0 at a 90-degree angle against the skin, which indeed makes the experience relatively comfortable.

However, if the device isn’t in full contact with the skin, you may experience a burning sensation. This raises the question: does the device need to be perfectly flat against the skin to be effective?

In areas like the legs, where the surface is smooth, pressing the device flat wasn’t an issue, and I felt no pain. Still, areas with uneven skin, such as the armpits, caused noticeable discomfort. Similarly, I found using the device on my face and bikini line painful, despite these areas being relatively flat. Therefore, caution is necessary to prevent burns, even on flatter surfaces.

Can It Be Used for Brazilian Hair Removal?

Claim

Nood further claims that the Flasher 2.0 is safe for use on all body areas, including the Brazilian region. However, this assertion raised some skepticism on my part.

Reality

Given that the device must remain flush against the skin to function optimally, I question how to achieve that in the Brazilian area. Based on my experiences with other body parts, I anticipated that using the device in such sensitive regions could result in considerable discomfort.

For the sake of safety and to avoid potential burns, I chose not to attempt using it for Brazilian hair removal.

The Reviews

Now, let’s discuss Nood’s reviews and how they might manipulate feedback. When I initially purchased the device eight weeks ago, I took note of the reviews, which totaled 611 with an average rating of 4.39 stars. This appeared promising.

However, upon checking again this morning, I noticed the average rating had risen to 4.83 stars, but the total number of reviews had dropped to 480. Where did the other 100 reviews go?

To me, this suggests that Nood may be selectively deleting negative reviews to enhance its public image. Such behavior is concerning and gives the impression that the brand is not entirely trustworthy. It’s disheartening to witness tactics like this being utilized to sway consumer opinions.

My Results – Leg Hair

Claims

Nood claims that users will begin to see hair reduction and delayed regrowth within 2 to 3 weeks of using the device, with long-lasting results becoming evident within 6 to 8 weeks. However, my actual experience has differed significantly.

Reality

The images above depict my legs taken 3 to 5 days post-shaving and three weeks into using the device. From what I can observe, there isn’t a substantial difference. Though the images don’t clearly show it, I felt that my hair regrowth remained relatively unchanged, without any noticeable results.

By week five, I felt a glimmer of hope that the device might be working, albeit I wasn’t entirely convinced, possibly because I was eager for results. After eight weeks, while hair regrowth was indeed reduced, it wasn’t eliminated entirely. Thus, it’s safe to conclude that this device may show results, but the timeline is longer than what Nood advertises.

Moreover, I suspect that continued use might eventually lead to further reductions in hair regrowth. I’m happy to provide updates on my progress if you’re
