Since Josh’s parents arrived we have been on a whirlwind tour of Omaha. We’re trying to hit up all of our favorite restaurants and things to do in the city. One of the things not originally on our list but Josh’s parents requested to see was the Nebraska Crossing Outlets that weren’t open the last time they were here.
I’m never one to turn down shopping, so I happily agreed. We made a day of it this past Sunday and I found some great deals, including this sweater.
This Banana Republic Outlet sweater is so comfy and so cute. After all the deals were said and done I got it for $35. I liked it so much I ended up buying it in two different colors.
The thing to know about this sweater is that it runs big. After trying on both size small and medium I decided that small would be best. In the shuffle of dressing room clothes I accidentally bought the medium, so I’m deciding to embrace the extra room and additional warmth. I’m too lazy to drive 35 minutes just to exchange a sweater.

I just got new glasses (for the first time in years!) and am absolutely loving them. GlassesShop invited me to try out their glasses . I had never heard of them before but after browsing their site I readily accepted. They’re cute, good quality, cheap, and ship fast. I ended up ordering the Ludington Wayfarer and am so happy with my choice. It makes me nervous to order glasses online since you never know how frames will look on your face but they did a great job. And with the glasses being so affordable (these were only $30) it minimizes the risk.
If you’re looking for an inexpensive pair of cute, quality glasses enter code ErinX20 at checkout and save 20% on your next order at GlassesShop.
I also have some Ask Me Anything questions I want to share today. Someone asked about clothes which is why I wanted to tie this outfit into the post.
What do you and your husband do for work?
Josh is a professor and I am a social media marketer.
I’d love to hear more about your laser hair removal! I’m considering doing it myself but want to hear someone’s firsthand account.
I’m about halfway through the year long process and am loving it. I’m seeing great results and would definitely recommend it to others. Two things to keep in mind is that it is painful and expensive. Also, if you have light hair and/or dark skin the laser doesn’t work as well and you will see sub-par results. (Thankfully I’m pale with dark hair.) And if you have ever had melanoma you should not get laser hair removal done as the light from the laser can change the outward appearance of any moles you have on the skin where you are receiving treatment. There are lots of different places to get laser hair removal, and the prices can vary wildly between them. I decided this was an investment I was making and I wanted it to be a good one. So I went to the best, at Ideal Image, and am loving my decision. I want to wait to give a full recap of my experience until I’m done with all my sessions. I feel like that will be a way more comprehensive and accurate review.
You mention you get a lot of good deals on clothes. Where do you find those deals?
I buy used! I know it’s not for everyone but I have gotten some of my best deals that way. I’m in local buy/sell Facebook groups and national brands buy/sell Facebook groups (J.Crew, Anthropologie, Lululemon, etc.). I also shop sites like The RealReal, eBay, and Instagram stores. When shopping for new clothes I always use Ebates and always Google for coupons. Getting good deals on clothing is like a sport to me.
