These boils or eruptions are termed as folliculitis and are due to the traumatic pull of the hair shaft leading to inflammation of the hair follicles and pustule due to secondary contamination of the open follicles with bacteria in the presence of sweat says dermatologist, Dr Shefali Trasi Nerurkar. Tips to PREVENT boils after waxing-

1. Avoid waxing when you are menstruating. Your skin is usually more sensitive during those days.
2. Avoid moving to extremely hot or polluted places immediately after waxing. The dirt and heat can affect the open pores causing these boils.

Tips to GET RID of boils after waxing-

1. If you exfoliate or scrub with a pumice stone on the day you wax to prevent ingrown hair, make sure that there is a gap of a few hours between waxing and exfoliating. Here are some natural exfoliants you can try.
2. Using antibiotic creams on the affected area can prevent spreading of germs and marks.
3. Do not use harsh soaps on the day of waxing. In fact, bathe with plain water and use a soft loofah to clean your skin.
4. Wear loose clothing. Wearing a tight jeans or trouser or shirt can cause friction and cause more discomfort due to the bumps.
5. Topical ointments can be applied for the first few days to get rid of the boils.
6. Always apply ice cubes immediately after waxing followed by a good moisturiser.
7. Applying fresh lemon, coconut oil or tea tree oil is also a good idea. You can also dust some baby powder on the affected areas to prevent itching. These home remedies dry the boils in a couple of days. Here are some more beauty hacks with baby powder.
8. Avoid scratching with your nails. If you experience a lot of itching, rub the area gently with a soft cloth.
