The conservative hate campaign against transgender lives, healthcare, and freedom expands every month, threatening the wellbeing LGBTQ+ communities and beyond. In frightening times such as these, many folks are feeling disenfranchised and looking for a way to help, give to their comrades, and simply fight back.

While donating and volunteering for national LGBTQ+ rights organizations is positive and necessary, often we can make the most difference by supporting organizations doing grassroots work in our own backyards.

Below, we’ve organized an abridged list of state and local-level groups fighting for LGBTQ+ justice and survival across the U.S. Most are registered nonprofits, but we’ve also highlighted mutual aid funds and other organizations fighting to build a better, happier, and more resilient future.

This list is continually updated. If you have updates about your organization, please email theminfo@condenast.com.
