What really makes Evolutions special is our wonderful employees. When we started Evolutions Medical Spa back in 2005 we had 5 employees. We are now up to 30! They are all great people and they work very hard everyday to make your experience with Evolutions the best it can be. We are starting this feature to let you know a little bit more about the people that make up the Evolutions’ team. This month we are highlighting one of our Physician Assistants, Kara Georgiadis, PA-C, and our lead housekeeper, Areli Pineda.
Employee Profile – Kara Georgiadis, PA-C
Kara is originally from Florida but moved out to California a few years ago. We are glad she did! She is a PA and comes from an Orthopedics background, where her clinical and surgical experience in that field gave her a great knowledge base to start into aesthetics. Though she is our newest medical clinician, she has quickly developed a loyal following with her sweet personality, her medical acumen, and her natural technical skills as an aesthetic clinician.
- What is the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had (prior to Evolutions)?
I worked as a fitness consultant for Florida State University while I pursued my B.S. degree. Health and fitness will always be a passion of mine.
- What do you like about working at Evolutions?
I love my coworkers and my patients. Aesthetics is a very unique area of medicine. We are able to establish great relationships with our patients and they actually want to come in for their treatments!
- What is your favorite treatment to perform? Why?
I really enjoy all the treatments we offer, but my favorite is the FotoFacial. Patients that struggle with hyperpigmentation and diffuse redness really benefit from the FotoFacial procedure. I love seeing the overall improvement after my patients complete a FotoFacial series.
- What is your preferred treatment at Evolutions to have done?
Laser hair removal. Why spend time shaving unnecessary hair?
- What is your #1 home care product sold at Evolutions? Why?
The one product that every patient can benefit from is a retinol or Retin-A (prescription strength). This medication is beneficial for rhytids (wrinkles), pigmentation, acne, and overall improvement of skin texture. Retin-A has been extensively studied and is the first line therapy for patients who desire treatment for photoaging. I love this product!
- What is your favorite quote / mantra / words of wisdom?
Life is made of half illusion, forty percent confusion whatever’s left I’m using to keep myself from losing.
- What is something people would be surprised to know about you?
I recently went skydiving! The interesting thing is that I am afraid of heights, but I like activities that take me outside of my comfort zone. Doing activities like skydiving helps me overcome my fears and allows me to appreciate the power of my thoughts. I thought I would hate skydiving, but I actually really enjoyed it.
- What do you like to do in your free time?
I enjoy all outdoor activities with family and friends. My favorite sports are volleyball and snowboarding. It is wonderful that I can do both here in California! I was an assistant coach for a high school basketball team.
