Madina mixed the toothpaste and turmeric together in a bowl before massaging the yellow concoction into her skin until it dried.
She then scraped the mixture off, before removing clumps of hair with cotton wool and make-up wipes.
Madina captioned the video: "DIY hair removal cream... This is such a easy little concoction using Crest toothpaste and turmeric powder.
"The turmeric is a calming agent for the skin while the toothpaste is the main agent for hair removal!"
"Mix & apply evenly," she continued.
"Allow it to dry and rub skin in opposite direction of hair growth.
"Wipe it with a wet cloth and voilà."
So, is it safe? And how did she do it?
According to dermatologist Mona Gohara, toothpaste is not meant for your skin.
"Toothpaste is a skin irritant—it’s meant for your teeth, not for your skin or hair," she told Cosmopolitan.
"It may make a good paste, like how sugaring is a good paste for removing hair but it can also be irritating and not that effective."
Turmeric can temporarily stain the skin and followers were quick to comment on the video, with many voicing concern.
"Be careful when using turmeric because if you use to much of it, it could stain your skin," wrote one.
Another said: "The turmeric is very yellow how can i remove it?"
Madina's other DIY hacks include repairing split ends with avocado and honey and washing make-up brushes in baby shampoo.
