How is Waxing Performed?
There are two main ways to remove body hair with waxing. The first way, which you’re probably familiar with, is the traditional strip waxing procedure. Body wax is applied to the treatment area, then cloth strips are laid over the wax. Once the wax has set, the cloths are removed in a swift motion process, taking hair out by the root.
For people with severely sensitive skin, we also perform hot waxing, where much hotter wax is applied to the treatment area, allowed to cool and harden, and then removed for an experience with minimal pain.
It doesn’t matter if it’s your first time or your fiftieth time being waxed, we’ll ensure you are completely comfortable.
What Does Waxing Recovery Look Like?
After a body waxing session, patients will likely experience tenderness and redness throughout the treatment area. In addition, some clients may see red bumps where their hair was removed. These symptoms fade after a day or two. After that, you’ll have hairless and smooth skin.
Results are immediate, though may be inhibited by side effects like redness and inflammation. Depending on the speed of your hair growth and the area waxed, your results can last anywhere from three to six weeks before needing another treatment.
We recommend waiting until hair is about a quarter-inch long before coming in for a waxing session.
