For decades, Cameron Diaz has been hailed a sex symbol for her impressive six-pack and long legs. In fact, her smokin’ bod has garnered so much attention throughout the span of her career that she recently published an inspiring and informative book, called The Body Book, to share her tips and tricks for a healthy lifestyle.
Despite being considered a guru when it comes to a wholesome living, the Annie actress has come under fire for making a serious health-related blunder on Chelsea Handler this week.
“I think one cigarette every once is not going to kill you,” Cameron told funny lady Chelsea Handler.

The Body Book author admits to being a former smoker—once smoking up to 20 cigarettes a day—before quitting to do Charlie’s Angel in 2000. She then began smoking again, after Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle wrapped in 2003, before finally quitting for good.
While smoking “once in a while” is totally a-okay in the eyes of Cameron, there are other health hazards to take more seriously.
The real enemy? Diet Coke.
“Diet Coke is bad news,” the 41-year-old explained. “It’s the chemicals within it. I’d rather have the sugar—it’s better for you.”
While aspartame—the artificial sweetener used in diet sodas—has been flagged as potentially dangerous, at the very least, you’d think Cameron’s mantra of “one every once in a while” still holds true.

Another problem the health nut seems more concerned with than cigarettes? Pubic hair.
Cameron dedicated an entire chapter in The Body Book to it.

“I figure there’s a purpose for that hair,” Cam told Chelsea. “No matter how you enjoy grooming it throughout your life, whether it’s like shave it all off, wax it all off, put a bullseye, birthday cake, I don’t care. Just girls, think about not taking it all off forever… It doesn’t come back.”

Just to make sure everyone is on the same page… guidelines for healthy living, according to Cameron Diaz: smoking = good, Diet Coke and Electrolysis or other permanent hair removal for your pubes = very, very bad.
The Bad Teacher actress admits she stopped smoking at the urging of her parents, who encouraged her to be a better role model… we just hope Cameron realizes what kind of message she’s sending excusing such a detrimental behavior.
