Following my applications to several institutions, I was pleased to secure a residency in internal medicine. During this residency, a mandatory two-month rotation in dermatology provided me with the opportunity to explore this inspiring branch of medicine. I was fortunate enough to work in an institution where the skin clinic sees over 300 patients daily during the summer, which allowed me to encounter a diverse range of cases. Even though I was primarily an internal medicine resident, I became actively engaged in patient care, laying the groundwork for my transition into dermatology.
My decision to specialize in dermatology crystallized during my rotation, as I was determined to become a dermatologist who not only addressed skin concerns but also helped individuals feel confident in their own skin. Consequently, I have developed proficiency in a wide array of dermatological procedures, ranging from basic operations to advanced techniques, including electrocautery, cryotherapy, skin biopsies, intralesional injections, and various cosmetic treatments such as PRP, mesotherapy, Botox and fillers, and HiFU facials. I also have a particular interest in treating patients using various types of laser technologies.
