Bollywood actress, Janhvi Kapoor who happens to be Boney Kapoor and Sridevi’s elder daughter has carved a niche for herself in the film industry. She made her Bollywood debut in 2018 with the film, ‘Dhadak’. However, her public appearances often grab headlines. Janhvi and her sister, Khushi Kapoor often attend social events and award shows with their father, Boney Kapoor. Paparazzi leave no chance to click both the sisters. Recently, Janhvi Kapoor talked about the time when her without consent pictures were shared on inappropriate social media pages.
Janhvi Kapoor recalls how paps click her pictures without consent
During one of the recent interviews, Janhvi Kapoor went vocal about her digital presence and mentioned how she often gets clicked on the public front. Elaborating more, the actress shared how she and her sister, Khushi Kapoor get clicked without their permission. Paps click them without asking their consent, and in no time they go viral all over the internet. In the words of Janhvi:
“I don’t recall any ‘first memory’ of being in public. It has always been a part of my life. The cameras have always been around. In our childhood, it was like we would go out. And people, with or without consent, took pictures of me and my sister.”
Janhvi Kapoor reveals how she lost her friendship with peers in school
The actress further went on to recall how her past connections were broken in the school. She remembered the time when paparazzi pictures and headlines announced her career in the entertainment industry. Let us tell you that actress, Janhvi Kapoor was merely 10 years old back then. Additionally, Janhvi mentioned how her ill-dressed pictures used to flash on her classmates’ computer screens in the lab. This made the actress feel shameful about herself. In her words:
“It didn’t make me popular, instead, it alienated me from my peers in school. I don’t think they understood it so they started disliking me. I didn’t understand what was happening. My friends looked at me differently, they poked fun at me for not getting waxed.”
The situation got worse and her teachers’ attitude and behavior also changed towards Janhvi. Janhvi recalled the difficult phase and revealed that students passed weird taunts on her. People used to ask her when she was leaving the school to achieve stardom. Adding on to it, Janhvi stated:
“Many insinuated that I don’t have to work as I was famous anyway, weird taunts that I wouldn’t understand… Everyone kept asking me when I was leaving school and why I was on Yahoo. There was a lot of judgement, a lot of questioning of one’s self-worth from a very young age.”
Janhvi talks about advanced AI creating fake images of celebrities
The actress further disclosed that she had found her morphed photos on various inappropriate and pornographic pages. According to her, the stressful situation has not come to an end due to advanced AI which creates fake images. Janhvi added by saying:
“There’s been an influx of fake images, more so with today’s advanced AI. People see these manipulated images and assume they’re real. That deeply concerns me.”
