WHETHER they were notoriously skinny in the '90s or undergoing a natural revival in recent years, brows have always had an important role in the beauty industry.
One makeup pro has shared the common mistakes to avoid when filling in and shaping your eyebrows.
Maribeth Madron spoke exclusively to The U.S. Sun about the best ways to take care of your brows.
The beauty expert explained that there is no cure-all makeup product for filling in your eyebrows.
"If you need to fill in your brows, you want to choose the best formula for your needs," Madron said.
"If you have holes or asymmetry in structure, start with a sharpened wax-based brow pencil that matches your brow hair."
She recommended using "short and light-pressured strokes in the direction of hair growth to fill holes."
For a neat finish, she suggested blending with a spoolie.
Madron also broke down the best technique for holding your brows in place.
"For hold, follow with a clear brow gel in an upward and outward motion," she said.
She advised anyone with gray or fine light hairs to "try a tinted brow gel to add color and fullness."
"Apply the gel to both sides of the brow hair using a back-and-forth motion for extra fullness and gray coverage," Madron explained.
She also revealed the most common mistake when filling in brows.
According to the expert, a popular offense is using too much brow product.
Using the wrong color and filling in outside the edges of the brow are other errors that are often made.
Madron broke down the importance of perfecting your brow beauty routine.
"Brows are the most transformative and important feature on the face," she explained.
"They frame your eyes and determine your expression."
She suggested focusing on conservation, nurturing them with brow conditioner, and trying "not to deviate too much from the shape mother nature gave you."
Madron also cautioned women to be careful of permanent treatments.
"Laser hair removal, electrolysis, and tattoos are usually forever and trends are not," she said.
The brow expert previously revealed the growth serum she swears by.
