Take your brows into your own hands by...
1. Measuring your brows with a pencil to ensure that the start of the eyebrow is in line with where the inner corner of your eye meets your nose and not any closer in.
2. Then, take a pencil and hold it parallel to your face. Touch one end of the pencil on to the end of your nose and then adjust it so that the length of the pencil continues up through your iris (the coloured bit), just under the eye's pupil. Where the pencil sits over the eyebrow is roughly where the peak of the eyebrow arch should be.
The advice used to be that the pencil should reach up from the end of the nose through the centre of the pupil to find your arch, but it is a more modern look to have the arch slightly further out towards the edge of your face, so position the pencil just under the pupil.
Eyebrows that are too close together or too far apart can actually shrink your eyes in a way that makes your face look imbalanced rather than effortlessly gorgeous.

The best way to avoid being unhappy with your final brows is to share any concerns with your therapist before the treatment. For example, if you're growing out your brows, let your therapist know and that way she can just tidy stray hairs rather than too much shaping.
Any good brow therapist should always do a consultation prior to the appointment to ensure they agree the shape and any preferences together with you.

Is bringing a photo completely lame?
It can be helpful to show photos of any particular preferences however, as the best brows follow your natural shape, each brow is completely individual and bespoke!
To tint or not to tint? And how do you know what colour is right?

For some people, a tint gives instant definition because it brings out all the baby brow hairs that you usually can't see and gives the appearance of fuller brows. If you prefer the look of thicker eyebrows but don't necessarily have the hair growth to work with, this could be a good solution.
We know what eyebrows we want, but we're not sure how to describe them...
Although you might not have the brow 'terminology', your therapist will be able to discuss the look you want with you in your consultation so you feel comfortable you're on the same page.
Often, there's not a language barrier as such, but sometimes the ‘brow ambition’ may not fit with the natural shape of the existing brow. Someone who has naturally quite straight brows may not suit a high arch and it’s always best to work the natural assets rather than change the shape completely.
