Microneedling is a safe and highly effective procedure but aftercare will stimulate, nourish and protect your skin. Post treatment the area may feel tight and dry and that is where a quality moisturizing product will give you relief from any discomfort you have. We will help with your product choice but the following products are some of what we recommend.
Skin Scripts Brand:
- Cucumber Toner to balance your skin’s pH. Use this after cleansing your skin and before serums, masks, moisturizers or sunscreen
- Ageless Hydrating Serum contains hyaluronic acid, honey and aloe to aid with moisture, anti-bacteria and calming of the skin. Can be used AM/PM
Cosmedix:
- Cell ID is a great serum for all types of skin. It contains Mitochondria Complex, Sh-Oligopeptide-1, and Spin Trap. It is a moisturizer, antioxidant, and anti-aging serum that aids the recovery process. Can be used AM/PM
- Radiance serum contains Aminoguanidine, Spin Trap Alpha-Lipoic Acid, Copper Complex, Epidermal Growth Factor, Trehalose to aid in retaining moisture and reverse visible appearance of aging, lackluster skin. Apply to skin when it is slightly damp in the AM/PM
- Affirm serum contains Glycine Soya, D-Boldine, Cassia Beta-Glucan, EGCG which aids in firming, and moisturizing and acts as an antioxidant multivitamin for the skin. This is a great starter serum that can be used with your other products. Can be used AM/PM
- Emulsion is a heavier moisturizer that contains Shea Butter, Jojoba oil, Spin Trap, Liquid Crystals, Beta-Fructan, Glycosamine, and Honey Suckle extracts to hydrate, preserve and fight free- radicals. Can be used AM/PM
- Rescue is an intense hydrating balm containing Shea Butter, Argan Oil, Panthenol, Totarol, Copper Cluconate Calendula, Resveratrol Extract, and Willowherb to fight inflammation, irritation and hydrate the skin. Can be used AM/PM
- Mystic contains Witch Hazel, Sodium PCA, Aloe Vera and Cassia Beta-Glycan to help fight bacteria, moisturize, antioxidize and soothe. Sprayable moisturizer that can be used all day while on the go
Make sure to protect your skin with SPF 30 or more everyday and reapply every 2 hours if you are outside. A hat is recommended as well.
Tizo SPF 40 and Reflect SPF 30, Peptide Rich Defense and Epionce are recommended. Tizo and Epionce come in a tinted form and can be used after treatment in conjunction or replacement of mineral makeup. Reflect is a sprayable sunscreen that can be reapplied over makeup throughout the day.
