So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
We started out in the medical field as registered nurses. However, we always had a passion for the cosmetic and beauty industry. We wanted to use our skill set and medical knowledge to combine the “art and science” of beauty. We were lucky to meet the owners of Ariya Aesthetics, which is a physician owned medical spa in Bedford, NH and share some common goals and aspirations. There was a unique need in our area to bring cutting edge technology to the field of facial aesthetics, body contouring and other non-surgical medical spa services. If you look around in the Bedford area, there are very limited resources for real medically oriented aesthetic and beauty solutions. Bedford is a vibrant community at the heart and soul of New Hampshire. The owners of Ariya Aesthetics decided to put together a board-certified team of physicians, registered nurses and nurse practitioners to set up one of the most comprehensive, non-invasive, laser aesthetic medical spas in the area.
We pride ourselves in having a state-of-the-art facility coupled with high tech advances for facial and body care with sound medical science for optimal results. We did not just want to open a run-of-the-mill aesthetics center. We wanted this to be a full-fledged anti-aging and body contouring medical spa. We scoured the nation and brought in the top performing laser aesthetic, ultrasound and radiofrequency machines that are available in the country today. All our machines and technology are FDA approved. We are proud to say that we brought in CoolSculpting which targets fat pockets from love handles, saddlebags and abdominal areas with absolutely no downtown. CoolSculpting combined with the Velashape III reduces cellulite, performs circumference reduction and skin tightening to create a noninvasive body contouring treatment that is second to none.
Ariya Aesthetics also is the first in the state of New Hampshire to acquire the Sunetics low level laser treatment for hair loss and hair rejuvenation. It is again an FDA approved noninvasive and painless procedure which is effective for all hair types and all ages. It essentially prevents hair loss, improves the hair-quality and even grows hair. Ariya Aesthetics has a state of the art laser hair removal machine which is essentially two lasers rolled into one for all skin types. Besides getting rid of unwanted hair, this machine is also effective for skin tightening, treating small veins, brown spots, nail fungus and much more.
We also provide injectable treatments including Botox and dermal fillers. Our Nurse Practitioner specializes in lip augmentation injections which are very popular in the area along with Botox injections for dynamic wrinkles. Our estheticians are also board-certified and excel at facials, microdermabrasion and other techniques. We have also initiated wellness programs such as massage therapy to our practice and will shortly be initiating acupuncture therapy including laser acupuncture. Our business model is to collaborate with other like-minded businesses in the area including gyms, dietitians, weight loss programs and others to create the most advanced and effective non-invasive anti-aging, body contouring, weight loss and skin treatments to the Bedford area. Feeling good on the inside and the outside is the key to being more effective and productive both at work and home. We have already started making a meaningful difference to the people of Bedford and all the surrounding communities.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting a new business is never an easy task. However, without risk there is no reward! Although we have cutting edge FDA approved technology, educating the masses about our services and products is always challenging. We have some services such as Botox, Laser hair removal and even CoolSculpting which are household names and easier to market, however, we have our other body contouring, cellulite reduction and laser hair growth services which require much more education and marketing efforts. We are a tech savvy business and engage our clients with traditional marketing, social media marketing etc. but have learnt that a sincere and honest approach towards our clients leads to more word of mouth referrals which is priceless!
