One woman’s travels also helped her save up to $40,000 on minor cosmetic procedures.

Bryn Elise Wright, 29, started looking for cheaper treatments abroad after her hairdresser in Idaho quoted her $4,500 for hair extensions.
She soon discovered that the same treatment would only cost her $500 if done in Istanbul, Türkiye.
Unconvinced by the affordable prices, Bryn began researching cosmetic procedures in other countries.

She chipped a tooth while traveling in Bali and had to spend $70 on treatment, a procedure she estimates would have cost her up to $700 in the US.
Bryn saved herself money by getting a $140 Botox injection in Istanbul instead of spending $800 at home.
She also had laser hair removal in Paris, which cost only 400 USD instead of 2,000 USD in the US.
Bryn estimates she has saved $40,000 in the past three years by going abroad for dental and cosmetic care.
She revealed that she saved $10,000 on both hairdressing and dentist fees, and another $20,000 while in the hospital with the flu in Thailand.
Bryn, an Amazon reseller from Colorado, has traveled extensively over the past three years with her boyfriend, Cody Jorgenson, 36.

She used to schedule any health care needed during her trip home to the US, but now she often chooses her next travel destination based on where she can get cheap treatments money.
“I think I’ll try to get it done overseas,” Bryn said.

She described the domestic prices as “huge” and explained that she could still “make ends meet” while having the procedure done abroad.

“I found a guy on Instagram who looked amazing, I reached out to him and he said he would do it for $500,” she said, referring to her hair appointment. my fairy.
“At first I thought there was a misunderstanding,” Bryn explains. We have included that in our travel plans.”
“It went so well, I was really overwhelmed,” she said.
Bryn’s dental treatments included a new crown and deep cleaning in Turkey for just $240, a procedure that would have cost her up to $1,800 in the US.
When she and Cody fell ill in Thailand, they had to spend 24 hours in the hospital for just $120 each.
Bryn said she wouldn’t even go to the hospital if she were in the US because the bill would likely cost between $10,000 and $20,000.
Her Botox in Istanbul saved her $786, and she describes the experience as “amazing and professional.”

Bryn has since returned to Istanbul to get her hair done three times and wants to continue traveling and trying inexpensive beauty treatments.
“Let me be the lab rat,” she said, “I spent months doing research.”
