31 March 2023 Bangalore, India
On the 1st of April, the PM of India, Narendra Modi, will inaugurate the Delhi to Bhopal Vande Bharat Express. The first Vande Bharat Express of the state of Madhya Pradesh is to cover 708 kilometers in about 7.5 hours from Bhopal to Delhi and vice versa. As per plans, the train will operate between Rani Kamalapati station in Bhopal and New Delhi railway station in Delhi. It is estimated to run at a top speed of 180 km from its origin station, Rani Kamalpati station, to its destination station, New Delhi railway station.
The Bhopal to Delhi Vande Bharat Express route will be the latest addition to the Vande Bharat Express routes connecting two state capitals within a very short period of time. It will be the eleventh Vande Bharat Express to run in the country. The first Vande Bharat Express was the New Delhi to Varanasi Vande Bharat Express, inaugurated in early 2019. Vande Bharat Express is an indigenously designed series of express trains that has lots of features compared to the traditional express trains running across the country. This product of the Indian Railways is equipped with state-of-the-art amenities for the comfort and safety of the passengers. The Vande Bharat Express is aimed at providing faster and more comfortable rides for passengers. It will create an extraordinary experience for rail users and specifically boost tourism.
“PM Modi will be visiting Madhya Pradesh During his visit to Bhopal on April 1, he will give a big gift to the people of the state in the form of Vande Bharat Express, which he will flag off from the Rani Kamalapati station for New Delhi,” CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan was quoted saying.
The Vande Bharat Express has received positive responses from the places the product is launched, and the people of Madhya Pradesh hope they experience something similar.
Some reports also suggest that currently, some changes are being made to the operating schedule of the Bhopal to Delhi Vande Bharat Express. The officials are working on changing the destination station of the route from New Delhi railway station to Hazrat Nizamuddin railway station. The respective authorities believe that changing the destination station to Hazrat Nizamuddin station will shorten the total journey by half hour. Initially, there was only one stoppage between the source and destination at Agra Junction railway Station, but now Indian Railways is planning to include two more stations in the route. The proposed plan includes Veerangana Laxmibai Jhansi and Gwalior railway stations in the latest Vande Bharat Express route. It is very likely that the final route of the Bhopal to Delhi Vande Bharat Express will have three stoppages in the route at Agra, Jhansi, and Gwalior.
PM Narendra will also be present in the state of Madhya Pradesh to attend a conference on the same day when he inaugurates the Vande Bharat. The Prime Minister will attend the Combined Commander’s Conference along with heads of the three armed forces, the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
