This light-filled, wood-floored studio provides a homey environment for you to work that core. Fiore offers private, one-on-one sessions with instructors using top-of-the-line equipment (reformer, Cadillac, wunda chair, electric chair, large barrel, spine corrector, and pedipull) all manufactured by Gratz, a company that dedicates itself to preserving the original designs of Joseph Pilates himself. Healthy Fit
Billed as “the healthy club for women,” Healthy Fit is a full-service, comprehensive fitness and weight-loss gym, offering everything from personal training to nutritional consultations. Members (who pay between $49 to $79 a month depending on membership) can be teamed up with a certified personal trainer who will lead them through a customized exercise program (after a thorough fitness assessment, along with a lifestyle and goals analysis). Workout programs are periodically updated following free re-evaluations. There’s also yoga, Zumba, Pilates, and unlimited studio cycling.

The Rye YMCA is like one-stop-shopping for working out. They have many workout options: a six-lane Brookside pool to swim laps (which utilizes UV technology to reduce chlorine); a four-lane pool that offers about 20 aqua classes per week; a fitness center (where new members get a free fitness assessment); a group fitness studio offering nearly 70 workout classes a week; a full-sized basketball court with open gym times; a racquetball court; a free-style fitness zone equipped with ropes, TRX, and kettlebells; and a spin studio offering 30 classes per week. This 5,000-square-foot indoor cycling and yoga center bills itself as a “hybrid fitness studio,” combining the principles of cycling, yoga, and boot-camp training. You can opt for a cycle session, or a yoga class—which range from Foundations 101 to Power Vinyasa—or combine the two in a hybrid cycle/yoga class, which splits an hour between bike and mat. There are also rides that incorporate high-energy music and video and Matrix Boot Camp sessions. Making it all even better: Classes are offered from 5:30 am to 8 pm, so good luck finding an excuse not to fit a workout into your schedule.

The exterior of the Wainwright House is impressive enough: It’s a re-creation of a 17th-century French château on five acres of landscaped grounds overlooking Milton Harbor on Long Island Sound.
