Jaime Harnacke, of Lincoln, knew at a young age she wanted to work in a field that focused on the routine of keeping her skin looking good.
She reflected back to her teen years when her peers would go to bed at night she would be adhering to a strict routine which produced flawless looking skin.
Harnacke is the new owner of a business called Sublime Skin, 111 1/2 S. Kickapoo St., above Guest House coffee shop, that focuses on a facial and waxing experience.
An open house is being planned from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 14 with the official shop hours open from noon to 6 p.m. on Tuesday’s, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday’s and Friday’s, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday’s and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. The shop is closed Sunday and Monday. For appointments go to: https://www.sublimeskinspa.com/ or contact by email at: jamie@sublimeskinspa.com.
She said the business has been three years in the making and after earning an Esthetician license she was looking for a job in a salon but was delayed due to the pandemic.
“I feel that God was pushing me in this direction, I just didn’t realize it yet,” said Harnacke with a smile.
One day while drinking a coffee and reading a book outside of Guest House the idea of owning her own business opened up.
“I am friends with Ethan Hoinacki and I asked him if the space above was available. He said yes and the idea started from there,” said Harnacke.
After spending countless hours remodeling the interior and using retro art and unique pieces she found at Lincoln shops of Copper Penny, ReNew and Goodwill, her dream was starting to take form.
“You can call it an eclectic space due to all of the pieces I’ve put together,” said Harnacke.

She credits her husband Justin for his handiwork with bringing life back to the interior.
“He designed the logo and spent hours painting and cleaning,” she continued.
As a licensed Esthetician specializing in skincare Harnacke says she is obsessed with skincare and uses the Phytocéane product line that was the preferred choice when learning about skin care.
“I’ve tried many products but I feel Phytocéane is the best. I also sell the product in the shop and so it means my clients will have a seamless transition going from my shop to their home,” said Harnacke.
She says her services range from $17 to $104 but has also included a tip in the charge so there is no question of whether the tip was too much or too little.
“I think it helps take the worry out of decision on what is right or wrong. If it’s included then that eliminates the problem,” said Harnacke.

Her marketing is aimed at three different age groups of women.
“First are the teens that are dealing with acne, second the mid-life 30 to 40 year olds who are looking for anti-aging and last are the mature women who are met with aging skin challenges,” said Harnacke.
Harnacke, a 2008 Lincoln Community High School graduate and 2012 graduate of Lincoln Christian University where she earned a degree in business, says her goal for the future is to expand into the additional space across the hall from her location.
“I envision having young girls in here gaining experience and watching them thrive along with giving the public a better understanding of skin and make it approachable for all of the people.”
