Though waxing eliminates all the unnecessary hair growth from your body, it leaves your sensitive skin with some discomfort, redness and irritation. All of these reactions of the skin are a result of the force with which the hair follicles are pulled from the roots, which leaves the skin inflamed. Though it is not that uneasy to pull off fine hair, getting rid of coarse hair near the bikini area and underarms causes more discomfort and pain, which leaves this skin inflamed. You can always turn to some home remedies to calm your sensitive skin post your waxing schedule. Here is a list of home remedies that you can try to soothe your skin after waxing to get rid of the redness and irritation.
Apply pure aloe vera
Use pure aloe vera gel from the aloe vera plant on the affected area post your waxing session. Once the aloe vera gel gets absorbed by your skin it will reduce inflammation and pain. If you do not have access to the plant you can use readily available alove vera gel products, but make sure that the product does not contain alcohol.
Cool compress
Make a cool compress of milk, water, and ice, by combining all three ingredients in equal parts and then applying it to the affected area. Keep this on your skin for five minutes and then repeat the application thrice to lessen the appearance of redness. The cool compress will aid in the healing process of your skin. Cucumber mask
Make a cooling cucumber mask to ease the discomfort. Cucumber mask helps in healing the red and inflamed skin thanks to its antioxidant properties. To whip up a cucumber mask, slice chilled cucumber and apply them directly on your skin. You can also blend it to make a paste and apply it on the waxed area.
Add lavender oil to your skin cream

Use chamomile oil
To ease the inflammation use chamomile oil as it is a great anti-inflammatory agent. Add few drops of chamomile oil to an ounce of jojoba oil and apply it on your skin, it will get absorbed into the deeper layers of the skin and reduce the redness on your skin. After 15 minutes, wash it off with cool water.

Apply mint and green tea solution
Application of mint and green tea will help you relieve pain and also heal the damaged skin as mint is a natural cooling agent, and the tannin in green tea will help relieve pain. To make this solution, add 5 green tea bags, 3 cups of fresh mint leaves 950 ml of boiling water. Let the mixture steep and cool for at least one hour. Then apply this liquid using a cotton ball.
