Opened in October 2007 by friends Ruth and Pedro Lahoz and Ivan and Katia Beauperthuy, Corpobello has become popular amongst Casa de Campo residents and villa owners, La Romana locals, but as the only medical spa of it’s kind in the East of the Dominican Republic boasts clients from Bayahibe, Punta Cana and Santo Domingo. Located on La Romana’s Calle Duarte, in a nice commercial building called ‘Plaza del Parque’, Corpobello is as modern, clean and professional as any other similar establishment in the United States.
As I briefly explained, Corpobello is not really a spa, but a ‘medical spa’, with its primary goal not being relaxation, but rather health and beauty treatments. Laser Hair Removal Corpobello specialize in laser hair removal, an FDA approved method for permanently removing and reducing the growth of unwanted hair on the face, legs, back, chest, stomach, arms, neck, bikini area, underarms, or pretty much anywhere else. Having recently tried this treatment myself I can personally testify that its good – in fact I have never had such a thorough cleansing. Massages Just like any spa, Corpobello offers massages, but apart from their standard ‘relaxation massage’ they also offer sports massage, lymphatic drainage massage, aromotheraphy massage, an anti-celulite massage and reflexology, which are all very reasonably priced starting at just RD$600.
