Visitors to the Northumberland County Show will be able to get their Barbour jackets waxed for a good cause this weekend.
The South Shields clothing brand will have two experts on hand throughout the day to re-wax jackets for the first time, with all proceeds going to the Royal Countryside Fund. It is estimated that the team of two will be able to re-wax at least 40 jackets during the day.
The Royal Countryside Fund was established in 2010 by King Charles III, and aims to support UK farming and rural communities by enhancing sustainability, fostering economic resilience, and providing training and resources.

Sue Newton, senior global corporate communications manager from Barbour, said: "This is the first time that we have offered a re-waxing service at the Northumberland County Show and we are grateful to the RCF for inviting us to partner with them. As well as encouraging customers to extend the life of their jackets through re-waxing, all of the proceeds from jackets re-waxed during the day will go to the RCF to contribute to their invaluable work supporting family farms and rural communities across the UK to ensure their long-term future."
Keith Halstead, executive director at the Royal Countryside Fund, said he was delighted the charity would partner with Barbour at the upcoming Northumberland County Show. He said: "This collaboration celebrates over a decade of partnership while actively contributing to our work in supporting rural communities.
"The proceeds from this service will directly assist our efforts to ensure the sustainability and prosperity of family farms across the UK. We are deeply grateful for Barbour's continued support and commitment to rural life, which truly reflects the spirit of both our organisations."
Mark Scandle, Northumberland County Show chairman, said: "It's a pleasure to have a well renowned world famous North East company supporting such a worthwhile charity who do such vital work across agriculture."
The suggested donation for the re-waxing of a Barbour jacket at the Northumberland County Show is £35. Barbour staff will also offer advice on jackets which are in need of repair or alteration, and if necessary will take back to South Shields to carry out the work.
