When it comes to aesthetic and cosmeceutical treatments in 2023, the landscape is as diverse as Canberra’s population.
And while we will never expect or assume that these are for everyone or that anyone needs to undergo these treatments, we will also never judge someone for wanting to learn about treatments that might go a step beyond a luxurious facial.
Please note: This is by no means an exhaustive guide!
Do your own research and when it comes to cosmeceutical procedures, always seek the advice of your GP or another medical professional
ESTETIQUE COSMETIC INJECTABLES (BELCONNEN)
View this post on InstagramA post shared by CANBERRA COSMETIC INJECTABLES (@estetique_cosmeticinjectables)
Offering anti-wrinkle injectables that smooth lines and dermal filler that sculpts and add volume, Estetique’s owner, Registered Nurse Alysse Myers, is focused on creating hyper-natural treatments that enhance client’s features.
“Getting injectables for the first time can be daunting. I offer free consultations to potential clients ensuring they are well informed about what to expect from each procedure,” explains Alysse.
“I have found this to be a successful way of easing clients’ fears. From the moment the client walks through the doors I aim to create a comfortable and calming environment. We then discuss their concerns and what it will take to achieve their goals.”
“A full consultation is provided before every procedure as we discuss risks and what to expect. Once the client is satisfied with the treatment plan, relevant medical history is taken, and a doctor is called via video chat to deem the treatment suitable. Then we are ready to begin!”
I believe my honesty and transparency are the main reasons why I have built such a strong rapport with my clients in a short amount of time. Delivering undetectable results and making people feel confident will always be my mission.”

HAIR AND SKIN SCIENCE (DICKSON)
View this post on InstagramA post shared by Hair and Skin Science (@hairskinscience)
Offering a boutique selection of hair and skin treatments, Hair & Skin Science aims to harness cutting-edge research to create powerful cosmeceutical treatments targeting challenges like dull skin, pigmentation and hair loss.
What we had: Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) skin treatment or ‘vampire facial’ (in June 2023). Read more here.
What is it: PRP requires a Registered Nurse to safely take a small vial of blood from your arm (just like a small blood test) and spin it in a centrifuge. Your face is then numbed and micro-needled before the plasma that has been separated from your blood is applied like a treatment across your face. The treatment requires some downtime.
