Verseo ePen
- $59.35 per kit
- Electrolysis hair removal
- Multiple pad sizes for different body areas
The Verseo ePen is another electrolysis system for home hair removal by the Verseo company. Similar to other products by Verseo in this review, the ePen is designed for home use and claims to offer permanent hair removal by applying an electric current to each hair follicle. It's available for purchase at a cost ranging from $58.95 to $59.35, depending on the vendor, which is competitive with other at-home options.
5 patches for all areas of the body
This Verseo kit includes an ePen, patches (2 rectangles, 1 banana, and 2 rounds), a cord for patches with 3 pad connectors, conductive ePen gel, 6 cotton swabs, 2 AA batteries, tweezers, and a soft storage pouch. Replacement patches that can be used multiple times can be purchased separately.
The website doesn't inspire confidence
The Verseo website doesn't inspire confidence. The site is barely built out, and doesn't have clear internal links even between items that are related to one another. It's hard to find what you want, and places on the website are completely blank. For example, on the ePen page, the drop-down menus for "how to use," "Shipping," and "Return Policy" were all empty, and that information wasn't offered elsewhere.
Not rated with the BBB
The Verseo ePen has a little over 200 global ratings, and customers rate the Verseo ePen 2.5 out of 5 stars on average. Only 30% of the reviews are 5 stars, while over 50% of reviewers gave the ePen 3 stars or fewer. In addition, Verseo has an unfavorable standing as it has a Not Rated notation at the Better Business Bureau, and customer reviews have left negative feedback about both the ePen's effectiveness and the company's customer service. Customers who have sought refunds describe products that fail to deliver on their promises, with many items not working from the first day of use.
Better off without the ePen
Considering the Verseo ePen's lackluster website, negative customer feedback, and the manufacturer's unsatisfactory reputation with the BBB, we have no choice but to rank this product lowest in our review. There are plenty of hair removal solutions out there, and you can easily find better than the ePen. Even if you're looking for a low-cost hair removal system, the ePen isn't worth the trouble.
